This luxury ground floor one bed apartment is well equipped and furnished to a much higher standard than most self catering apartments you will see. Almost Everything you need for a self catering holiday has been provided. We add to this inventory every chance we get based upon our own requirements and requests from guests.

The apartment has a ground floor balcony with great quality wooden furniture that overlooks the communal swimming pool and the lovely grounds. The swimming pool has free sun beds and a good mix of shady and sunny areas. The pool and surrounding area is cleaned daily.

There are excellent restaurants, bars and supermarkets on the front door with more at the lovely Las Cucharas beach which is a 600 meter walk from the apartment. You will also have complimentary use of the hotel facilities next door at Sol Apartments. These include a larger pool, sunbeds and a bar / snack bar open throughout the day. Just ask for Juan at reception and tell him that you are my guests at 117 Los Carmenes.

In our apartment you will find the following:

Microwave, kettle, toaster, double cooking hob, iron and ironing board, fire extinguisher, hair dryer, 32" HDLCDTV (not coin operated!) and DVD player, fridge freezer, washing machine, clothes airer, luxury double leather sofa bed and a good quality wooden table and chair set on the balcony. Of course there is a full compliment of pots, pans, cutlery, glasses and all of the other items that you would expect to find in this level of comfort.

All these are already there so there is no need to hire the "basic" items that can cost in excess of 75€ per week on top of your normal accomodation costs when you go self catering.

Fresh bed linen upon arrival with a light duvet (rather than horrible hotel throws!) and fresh towels.

The bedroom has solid twin beds with the great quality leather sofa bed in the living area folding down into a full sized double bed. So a family of four can live and sleep quite comfortably.

Ample built in storage space for clothes within the bedroom which also houses a built in self deposit safe for your peace of mind.

Prices per week range from £250 per week based on 2 guests sharing (not including flights) and dependant upon time of year. Please see the Price tab for more information.

A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking and the balance to be paid no later than 8 weeks before commencement of your holiday.

Payment can be made by bank transfer in Euros or by personal cheque in sterling and confirmation will be issued once funds have cleared. The preferred method is by bank transfer please. If you pay by cheque we will need to charge an extra £15 for transfer costs.

Sorry but no pets are allowed in the complex, and smoking is only permitted on the balcony area.

Children are more than welcome in the apartment that will comfortably suit a family of 4. There is a travel cot in the apartment should you need one (please ask for more details) 

This friendly and well maintained complex itself comprises of 53 apartments which enjoys a mix of residential and holiday apartments, with a community pool which is cleaned and treated daily. The Community President lives on-site and therefore offers total peace of mind whilst away from home.

We purchased the ground floor apartment as our own second home and as a result have professionally fitted it out with everything that we would personally want from a quality holiday apartment to cater for our own needs and that of our two small children. (Not the usual "basic" standard that you would normally stay at in Lanzarote!) So we know that you would not be disappointed should you choose our home to spend your stay on the welcoming and chilled island of Lanzarote.

As we spend more time there ourselves, we will make further improvements and enhancements as we go along, so add this site to your faviourites and watch for updates.

Apart from food and drink, there is so much more to Lanzarote...... oodles of local culture with many local markets across the island. Timanfaya isn’t too far away if you want to explore the volcano and ride camels, the Aqua Park and Golf Course at Costa Teguise are within a short distance if you need a more sporty thrill and then there are of course the beaches! Water sports are one of the more popular island activities including surfing, wind and kite surfing and of course diving. All fully catered for with lots of local companies providing opportunities for any level of competence and experience.

We will add a few personal recommendations across most food categories, whether you are a fan of Tapas or just fancy good old fashioned pub grub or fish and chips. We have been to the island ourselves many times and have friends who have chosen to live there, so we can offer a lot of good local advice and help to ensure that you enjoy your quality time.
