Arrival and Departure
Arrival
We would prefer it if you could plan your holiday from Thursday to Thursday inclusive as this is still the main changeover day in Lanzarote, but we can cater for other arrival dates subject to availability. (You will also generally tend to get cheaper flights from the UK on a Thursday, or at least from our own experience anyway!)
Any welcome packs or extras arranged at the time of booking will be already in your apartment for your arrival.
Your apartment will normally be ready for you by 2pm at the latest on the first day of your holiday. This will allow us to clean and prepare your apartment after the outgoing guests depart. So please allow for this when booking your flight.
However, if there are no departing guests on that day, we will arrange for your apartment to be ready for your arrival and you will be greeted at the door, given your keys and be shown to your apartment.
Please advise us of your flight arrival and departure times so that we can make the necessary arrangements and advise you should there be a change to this arrangement. As bookings develop, and we do envisage becoming busy, then we will need to revert to the 2pm arrival time.
For arrival times out of reasonable hours, we will let you know where the key will be situated for your convenience and for that of others within the complex. However, Arrecife airport closes at midnight and re-opens at 6.30am, so there wont really be much chance of that happening anyway.
If you do arrive in the early hours of the morning, please be thoughtful towards other residents.
Should you have any problems upon arrival please refer to the information pack and follow the guidelines to help us resolve the issue(s) with as less inconvenience for all concerned. In the event of any issue then I am sure that your greeter will be able to resolve them there and then.
We will endeavour to plan and provide as much as is reasonably possible to ensure that you have a hassle free holiday and to assure you of complete comfort, convenience and safety during your stay.
Transport to and from the Airport
We can arrange to pick you up from the airport and then drop you back at the end of your stay. This would be arranged through ourselves at the time of booking and we will be happy to make arrangements at a cheaper cost than using the airport taxi's and you will not have to queue like the rest (the taxi queues can be unbearable during busy periods) This is for a maximum of 4 people. Payment is taken locally at the time and the cost would be €20 for a pick up and €15 for a drop off. Alternatively you are free to make your own arrangements whether by Taxi or by local bus. (Information is available at the airport)
Departure
We would generally ask you to vacate your apartment on the last day by midday, although we do not generally have a fixed rule, unless there are incoming guests arriving on the same day and turnaround is tight.
If this is the case, then unfortunately we will need to be strict on the midday departure time. You will be given plenty of notice should this happen.
If you have a late flight out and want to enjoy your last day to the full, leave your bags somewhere safe and grab a shower before you leave for the airport, then make us aware of your flight times at the time of booking and we will see what we can sort out. We will always try and help out wherever we can.
We really do appreciate your co-operation with regards to the above.
In the event of a short wait either side of arrival or departure.
Should you unfortunately have to wait to take occupancy of your apartment on the day of arrival, or wait until your flight departs on your last day, then there are numerous bars and restaurants nearby that will allow you to take in your luggage and either start off your holiday or finish in fine style.
The nearest (and in my opinion the best!) is "The Swan" (turn right out of the complex front doors). Ask for Bob, Maria, Franky or Liz and tell them where you are staying. The Swan is run as a traditional English pub with ice cold glasses of San Miguel amongst any other drink that you can imagine (large spirit measures too!) They serve a mean breakfast which I lived on for 2 weeks recently and the "Pub grub" style menu is all freshly cooked to a high standard. You will be guaranteed great service, great food and drink and all served with a welcoming smile. Bob is proud to run his pub as a "Local" and many of the local residents can be found there as the prices are reflective of such and it definately isnt in the bracket of a tourist trap. Lots of local info can be gleaned there of places to go, best exchange rates and details of local buses and taxi's.
Unfortunately its not part of the package, but you will not be disappointed!
